iLove iPad
Today is the launch of the iPad. Lucky Bunny delivered an Easter Basket with an iPad to this Registered Nurse as I was getting off duty after pulling a double shift.
Included in the Easter Basket was a 64 GB iPad that Lucky Bunny purchased at Best Buy on launch day along with a two year “Black Tie” warranty from Best Buy that includes accidental damage and/or breakage. It pretty much covers anything that could happen to my iPad “except viruses.” I won’t need the warranty hopefully but with kids around and everybody playing with it who know what could happen in two years right ? It wouldn’t surprise me if it was mandatory for an RN to carry one on the floor within that time frame in some hospitals. I am not sure if Apple Care has the same kind of warranty or not. Las Vegas does have lovely Apple Stores on Las Vegas Blvd in the Fashion Show Mall and in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.
The iPad is not exactly like the iPhone. Please see Nurse iPhone. It’s more,, social. I will post more on the iPad experience and especially on how the iPad may change Nursing after I have had a chance to play with it a little more. For now all I can say is that I have owned it less than a day and it feels like its been a part of my life for some time. It feels like an old friend already.
